TRADITIONAL PITZTAL MOUNTAIN ADVENT
In the weeks before Christmas the small Pitztaler village Plangeross opens its doors and lets visitors experience a special mountain advent. With a great attention to detail, a village becomes an adventurous Advent calendar.
At an altitude of 1,600 meters, Plangeross will shine from 1st of December onwards in the glow of 24 Christmas-decorated windows, behind which delicacies are hidden.
Every evening from 8.30 pm opens one of the Advent windows. There the host families surprise their visitors with homemade specialties such as smoked bacon, strudel according to family recipe or baked apples.
